All Tucked In – First Heirloom Doll pattern

This week is a week of FIRSTS!  And, did you see that I’m releasing a pattern EVERY DAY?  It will only be on sale for 50% off for that day only.  Today’s sale will end on Wednesday night at midnight.  This is my first heirloom doll pattern!  Yay!! I’ve been wanting to do this for awhile!!  One of my pattern testers, Janet, graciously made this for me for the pattern cover and I took some pictures tonight with Ellie’s doll and of course, bunny slippers. :)

This matches the child version of All-Tucked-In which Janet also made for the cover!

Isn’t it breathtaking!?  This is made out of a beautiful quality dimity, french laces, and silk ribbons from Fine Stitchery!

Janet has awesome sewing skills.  Did you see her perfect entredeux?  Now don’t be intimidated by all of this extra entredeux, lace beading with silk ribbons, etc…the pattern does include instructions for all of that.  Actually, I include even more like a pintucked bodice but you don’t HAVE to do ANY of it!  You can just make a simple long sleeve nightgown or even use it as a dress pattern.  It works for beginner sewers up to advanced sewers!

It closes in the back with velcro for easy dressing and includes a pattern piece for short sleeves as well.

First Baby Pattern! Ruff or Ruffled Romper

My first baby pattern (first one in the Lullaby Collection) is DONE and here!!!  Yay!!  So excited!  We worked extra hard to bring this one to you.  I kept seeing people posting a picture of this adorable romper and asking who had a pattern like that.  Well, no one had a pattern exactly like it….so WE wrote it!!

It’s a great first start to my Lullaby Collection.  Many more coming!!  This is suitable for boys and girls and comes in sizes Newborn – 3T.  It has a snap crotch, elasticized back and option for adding a smocked or embroidered panel to the front bodice.

Wait til you see the adorable test runs we did.  This one is just too much fun!  And so fast to put together!

First Theresa and Carissa agreed to be my guinea pigs since this was a brand new pattern in sizes I had never drafted before.  Here is Carissa’s first test sew of it:

Yeah, we all fell in love with it!!

Theresa made TWO!  Here is one of hers:

And here’s the other one. :)

I got to take pictures of my sweet little nephew in the one I made.

Jessica showed us what it looks like on an older girl and so we extended the sizing to a 3T size instead.

And Jan added smocked butterlies to hers.  Soooo adorable!

Wait til you see this one from Janet!  Soooo cute!

That is just sooo cute! Great new pattern!

Introducing Garden Isle Dress

Featured Friday!!! Just barely again! I will let this run for most of Saturday to give you all a chance to pick up these two fun patterns at a great price!  This dress is BRAND NEW!  About a month ago or so, I was approached by a woman who had a picture of a dress she really wanted to make her granddaughters for Easter but she couldn’t find a pattern like it.  So, we went to work drafting and testing and changing and testing again….I am REALLY happy with how this turned out!  It’s just a simple a-line shift dress (and we went up to size 14 for this one!!!) but it has an optional overlay that can be gathered along the neckline.  I have a few more dresses to show you of this style over the weekend.  You can also just do more of a fitted a-line dress without the overlay.

Today’s featured pattern is called Garden Isle Girl (for sizes 4-14)! (A matching doll pattern for 15″ and 18″ dolls is also being released today!)

Did you know that I believe I am the ONLY designer who makes 15″ doll patterns?????  As sure as I say that, I’m sure I’ll find one who does but as far as I know and as far as others have told me…I am the only one who does patterns for both 15″ AND 18″ dolls!  I was surprised – and happy that I have been including both sizes in the patterns all along.

Carissa took these fun ones!  Isn’t that an awesome backdrop with this dress??

Jaime made hers from knit ruffle fabric instead.  She also did another one with a pink embroidered overlay but I like this one the best. :)

Janet did some “lace” shaping with ruffles.  How creative is she??

Speaking of creativity…check out Theresa’s that she added rows of ruffles on the back of the dress!!!

Rebecca made this sweet one.  Her daughter looks like she loved it!

As always, 50% off TODAY ONLY!

Introducing Blue Belle!

It’s here, it’s here!!  I know there were a lot of people waiting on this one!  Sorry I made you wait – Saturdays are crazy around here.  I put a difficulty level of a 2 on this one only because of the collar and the button placket in the back.  HOWEVER, all of my testers raved about the way this went together and the fit of it and how it was one of their favorites.  I have to say – I think it is one of my favorites too.  It’s just so sweet with the little collar and puffed sleeves and the girls love the twirly, tiered skirt.  This goes up to size 8.  So don’t be scared of the “2″.  It’s really very simple and quick to put together.  Theresa from Grammie’s Dolls made this matching girl/doll set for us to photograph and we just loved it so much!  I think she is already swamped with orders for more too!

Difficulty Level:

Blue Belle

for sizes 1-8

Suggested fabrics: Cotton, pique, twill, corduroy, denim, linen, silk dupioni, velvet, velveteen

Notions: Four ½” buttons, piping, optional grosgrain ribbon, fusible interfacing
