Sassy Sugar Horses

I gave you a sneak peek of this one when I did Ellie's birthday post but here is the dress in its entirety plus all the information about it.

I was looking and looking for lime green leggings but never found any - that may be something I make before it gets warmer to go with this dress.  I'm not loving the color of these green ones.

But, I do love the way this dress turned out and so did Elisabeth.  The fabric is from the Delilah collection again.  The overall look of this collection is very sweet and soft but I loved how this red print took on a fun personality with the lime green and polka dots.

I've made several Sugar Horses dresses for Elisabeth in the past (in fact it was the first pattern I ever drafted even though it wasn't the first one I published).  They always seem to be our "go-to" outfit because they're so comfortable and I like the length and un-fussiness of it.  (I'm pretty sure "unfussiness" is not a word!)

You can purchase your own copy of Sugar Horses here.  It includes options for both a top and a dress with two different sleeve options and three different hem treatments.

A Pink Giveaway!

I dearly love Martha's blog: Southern Matriarch.  She has lots of eye candy to drool over and fabulous tutorials.  She is having a Pink Giveaway until March 16th.  Pop over there and see the wonderful goodies she's giving away!

"Sugar Horses" came out yesterday and I've been pleased but very humbled by the attention and interest it received.  Thanks you guys so much.  This pattern seemed to come out quickly because it's something I actually started last year; but really by the time it is finally offered for sale, you feel like it's your baby!

I'm working on some new things for my website including a flickr group, a followers button (finally!) and some new tutorials.  But, I am seriously computer-challenged and the followers button has stumped me for a little while!  I am getting lots of hits on my website so I know some people are looking at my blog but I need the followers button so I don't feel like I'm talking to myself!  That already happens way too much!  I'll keep working on it and if anyone knows how to help me...thanks!

Sugar Horses is here!!!

"Sugar Horses" is available for sale now!  I love this pattern.  It is a mock cross-over bodice with an aline skirt which can be shortened to a top.  It can be sleeveless or have cute little puffed sleeves with piping.  There are three different hem treatments, an optional bodice ruffle and an optional decorative tie.  This is very fast to complete and a great stash-buster!  It doesn't require much fabric.   Order your copy today over in the Pattern Shop!!!

Well, my next pattern is done and off to my testers.  I thought I would give you a sneak peek.  Sugar Horses is a trendy top or a dress with two sleeve options, three different hem treatments, two bodice styles and an optional decorative tie.  It is simple and fast to put together, which I love!!

Thank you, in advance, to my testers!  I am looking forward to your feedback and unless, I've missed something big, this pattern should be ready for sale by March 8th.

Wow!

Within hours of posting that I needed testers for my new pattern, Sugar Horses, I was overwhelmed with emails! THANK YOU!!! I am now full for this pattern. However, if you had a desire to be a tester, please stay tuned! I have another one already in the works! For those of you who contacted me, I will be sending you the pattern by the end of next week! I am excited to get your feedback and see what you come up with!
