Featured Friday!!! I almost forgot it was until the ladies on the Facebook group page reminded me!  :)  This pattern won by popular vote for the half-off sale which is fun because I don’t think I’ve done it on a Featured Friday Sale yet!

The featured pattern today is Beautiful Dreamer (for sizes 1-12)!

Beautiful Dreamer is a cozy nightgown and robe set. It comes in sizes 1-12 with three different sleeve options: short sleeve, ruffle sleeve, or long sleeve. It also includes a matching robe.  So, it’s perfect for any season!  And lots of sizes included too so you can use it over and over.

April made this Beautiful Dreamer a couple of years ago.  So cozy and sweet!

Marlena made the one below and people still pin it like crazy.  :)  I love that fabric for it.I made a ton of them that winter but here is one in a Christmas frog flannel.  We had had an ice storm the night before and I thought the backyard was so pretty for the pictures.

This set below was made from that super soft cashmere flannel.

And just so you don’t think that these are all made for winter-ish weather, the below pictures are summer nightgowns using either the ruffle sleeves or the short sleeves.

A customer made the above one and allowed me to share the pictures.  Isn’t it beautiful?  Made from vintage sheets.

Brand new pattern available today!! You don’t know how long this has been coming.  I have Sandpiper for little girls and have had it for a couple of years.  It’s an easy-peasy summer knit sleeveless dress.  Well, since then I have had people begging for it in older sizes but I knew I wanted to drop the waist down for the older girls.  With the new tween patterns we’ve been doing, now was a good time to introduce it.  In the picture above (dresses sewn by one of my pattern testers, Theresa), the dress on the left is Sandpiper for ages 1-5 and the two on the right are the two variations of the new Sandy Girl for sizes 4-16!

Funny story about these pictures below – I took these pictures in a gated community because I wanted the beach and the lake behind her. Had to hurry in between security patrols. Teaching my girl some valuable life lessons…oops!No Mother of the Year award today! But we were giggling as we rushed to the car.

 You can make this with ruffle sleeves or sleeveless.  The bodice is knit but the skirt can be woven or knit.  The skirt can also be one layer or two.  I used stretch piping around the neckline which is so easy to attach.  However, you can also use fold-over elastic, a stretchy knit or a ribbed knit.  I give LOTS of options of working with knits in the pattern to help you if you are brand new to sewing with knits.  It is easy, I promise!  :)  And, I’m always available for questions too.

Featured Friday!!! We had a stash-buster contest on the Facebook page this last month and Erin was our 1st place winner.  By far and away, Dixie was her most used pattern.  It was also the go-to pattern for many others because it’s so fast to make.

I thought it would be fun to show you some of them!

The featured pattern today is Dixie (for sizes 1-8)!

Dixie is a versatile halter dress (straps can also be stitched to the back bodice) with lots of possibilities for embellishment. It comes in sizes 1-8. A matching pattern for 15″ and 18″ dolls is also available (called “Mini Dixie”).

Because of the easy and fast way this dress goes together, it was also a popular choice for other contest entries.  Here is Roberta’s take on it:

Featured Friday!!! Two fun knit dresses on sale for $5.00 today only!  Great summer sewing!

The featured pattern today is Sandpiper (for sizes 1-5) and Playtime Girl (for sizes 4-12)!

Sandpiper is a quick and easy one for sizes 1-5.  It is sleeveless and has a little fuller style with its gathered skirt.  If you prefer a slimmer style, you can also cut the rectangle of the skirt narrower.  It makes great nightgowns too!  You can probably make one of these in an hour including cutting-out time.  Love quick projects!  :)

I couldn’t leave out the older girls!  So I also included Playtime Girl.  For my Australia customers who are getting ready to head into fall/winter, this one is a great one for you with layered sleeves.  For people like me starting summer, there are many options to the sleeves.  You can do layered sleeves, long sleeves, or short sleeves.  You can also leave off the sleeves and bind the armhole like Sandpiper above!  This one is a great staple for year round and comes in sizes 4-12.

What are you doing this Memorial Day Weekend?  I’m waiting for a few ladies from around the country to meet at my house for a couple days of sewing for Oklahoma!  We are going to have so much fun.  Most of these ladies have sewn for me for awhile and pattern test for me and we’ve never met in real life.  I’m looking forward to seeing how much we can get done!  We’ll share pictures later.
